About & Contact
As a visual journalist I am focused on utilizing photo and video as a platform to tell stories that connect people. When I am in the field I want to capture the moments of human connection to each other, their environment and their communities. I want to use my camera as a tool that reflects the full spectrum of the human experience.
I believe in the power that storytelling has in order to enact positive change in our communities. I want to tell stories that inform, inspire, and organize others in order to make a positive change in their communities. I am always happy to tell all types of stories but I am most drawn to stories that get me outside, active in the community, and connected to people that need a voice.
I graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia in May of 2026 with a Bachelor’s of Journalism with an emphasis in photojournalism and documentary filmmaking. In addition, I obtained a minor in Spanish and Anthropology as well as a certificate of multicultural studies. In the past I have worked with organizations like Laborers International Union of North America, St. Louis International Film Fest and Q-Fest, True/False Documentary Film Festival, RUIDO Photo in Barcelona and the Columbia Missourian.
