Shane Stander has been an integral part of the Columbia skateboarding community since he opened his first skate shop in 2005. Over the years, he had to contend with economic difficulties, a shrinking customer base, and a falling-out with a business partner before opening his latest shop, CoMo Skate Supply. Shane now grapples with the challenge of operating a small business during uncertain economic conditions, while trying to build a sense of community with the people who share his passion for skateboarding.
